Dowlnoad failed check internet connection ! ?? im connected

There is still not a proper fix out there...

Facing the same issue.
Have tried all kind of things in the following order (and a many combinations of them):
* Uninstalling previous vive software (most likely a mistake as it seems I have no way to restore it)
* Deleted files from the "\AppData\Local\Temp" folder
* Restarted computer multiple times
* Disabled firewall
* Disabled AntiVirus
* Tried with and without VPN
* Edited Firewall settings to allow through ports listed here - https://service.viveport.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037222491-I-am-getting-a-Connection-Failed-error-how-do-I-fix-this-
* Tried 2 different internet provider networks
... and I still get the "Download failed   -   Please check the network connection and try again" error message. 
Yet, when I check the ViveLauncher log files then all the apk files listed there (i.e "https://vr-hwdl.vive.com/assets.apk-FI-59423-v75ig8qkws1sgvf5-.apk") which this app probably tries to download, are accessible when I paste that URL to browser. How difficult would it be do modify the Launcher in a way that it actually can properly find the files it should?

I cannot instal viveport, it's on infitity downloading. Is it any link to normal viveport.exe file, not to downloading file?

Have this happening to me right now...in 2022!!! Tried everything that similar to the posters before me did and nothing. Tried customer support ticket twice and have been ignored both times. Not even an attempt to troubleshoot. These guys are running a scam I'm starting think. Either that or they are incompetent. Not sure if I can stop my payments until this is resolved.
